AmeriCar is now offering our existing and future dealer customers an opportunity to offset their catalytic converter losses by installing the Converter Protect program. The Converter Protect program enables the dealer to mark all catalytic converters in their inventory. The marked converter ID number is matched to the serial number of the car and is kept in the Converter Protect data base. The ID number on the catalytic converter is now traceable back to the owner. There is a unique chemical process that allows the ID number to be permanently embedded on catalytic converter metal. The theft of catalytic converters cannot be completely stopped. We recognize that fact. If the dealer has catalytic converters stolen our program with pay the dealer up to $4000 for two catalytic converters and up to $6000 for four catalytic converters.Once the program is installed the dealer's inventory will be covered for one year. That coverage should be passed on the customer at time of sale.
