AmeriCar plans to meet with a select group of Dealers, GM's and F&I managers to unveil the new Service Writer Plus program at the F&I Conference held in Vegas in September 2010. Service Writer Plus is the fastest and easiest way for service managers to sell service contracts in the service lane. The program is completely web based and allows the service writer to electronically sign the customer up for a service contract in less than 10 minutes. Service writers will get immediate monetary incentives by way of rewards programs or loading cash on a Master/Visa debit card that can be used at any retailer/bank. Dealers will also get commission on each policy sold and obviously retain or earn a new service customer. Reaction to the program has been overwhelming. It was announced yesterday that Americar Automotive Solutions has applied for certification with the Vehicle Protection Association better known as VPA. VPA is in the forefront of setting best business practices and a standard of conduct to be used when providing service contracts to the consumer.
